One of the best people I've known

I had the pleasure of knowing Craig for about 6 years, and I don't think I've known a more positive person. I honestly can't remember him being in a bad mood. He almost always had a smile on his face, and was always genuinely interested in what others had to say, and what was going on in their lives. Craig was the one who first got us interested in moving to Summit Park, and we moved in just a few houses down from them. There are two ways to get to my house, one goes right past Craig's house. I would almost always go that way just to see if Craig was outside working on one of his many projects, and if so stop by to catch up. I was always amazed at the range of things Craig was good at from skiing and climbing to house remodeling and baking. The man could make some seriously good biscotti... We've gone on a number of family camping trips with Craig and a few other good family friends. We always had a great time biking, climbing, hanging out with the kids, drinks by the fire, or eating dinner off the side of the interstate when he ran out of gas in the van. Hanging out with Craig made pretty much anything more fun and interesting. I loved skiing with Craig, even a day of marginal skiing was great with him. We would have great conversations about real things while on the skin track, because that's who Craig was, he truly cared about what was going on in his friends lives. I had a few of my best ski days ever last year with Craig, and I am thankful for those times and those memories. Kaya, you had a very special Dad. I wish you had a chance to get to know him more. He made a lot of people's lives better, mine included. He loved you so much, and I hope you can remember how special he was as you grow up. We will all miss him forever, he will always be in our thoughts and memories, because you can't forget someone like your Dad. Justin Wilcox
